DR. DARIEN SUTTON
During the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Darien Sutton was at forefront as one of the only Black physicians reporting from the emergency department of their hospital. His dedication was already on the radar of ABC News, but last September Dr. Sutton officially became medical correspondent for the network where he reports across shows, including Good Morning America. The dashing TV doctor said after the network made the announcement that he was looking forward to delivering health and science education stories. Through Instagram, he admitted he was always a little anxious when going on live television and added his ritual included taking deep breaths and singing the lyrics to the song "The Electric Slide.” —K.M.
